Very nice mala pot inside Pavilion Bukit Jalil Mall. The mala and pork soup are nice. The must try ingredients are the fried wantan, fried fish tofu and special tender meat. The service is good, they actually sent the food over to the table.

It is one of those days when I get the cravings for some good mala noodles and this place turned up in my search list. The reviews here prompted me to give them a try and I did. This outlet is located inside Pavillion Bukit Jalil so parking is usually not a huge problem. I came at an early dinner hour so it was not overly crowded but I was happy to see quite a number of customers dining in already because that can be a positive indication of the food quality here. Ordering is simple as you basically pick the ingredients you want and decide on the preparation style. I opted for the mala soup although I usually prefer the dry one and I was glad that I did. The soup had the right level of savory and that sourish tang simply opened up my appetite. I also enjoyed how the soup texture was slightly rich and that made it a real comforting broth. The mala flavors here was okay for me but perhaps some may argue that it's not authentic enough. As for the ingredients, they all looked fresh on display and tasted equally good except for the chicken slices which were very tough. The chilli flakes in oil turned out to be a superbly good condiment. Typically such chilli flakes have some hints of bitterness but this one was sweet instead. The aroma and the spiciness further elevated my meal. Another compliment would be how neat and clean looking the place was. Overall I am very pleased with the mala noodles and the dining experience here. I would recommend this place.
